     We pride ourselves on being practical, creative and effective. We staff matters efficiently with an eye to eliminating unnecessary and costly duplication of effort in favor of individualized, hands-on representation. We determine the client's goals at the outset, set a plan for achieving them and revisit the plan as necessary as the case progresses. Whenever requested, we outline a working budget for the representation. All important strategic decisions are made with the client's input and after evaluating the cost efficacy of the plan. Informal status updates (or formal status reports, if requested) are routine. We make ourselves accessible on the daily basis to all inquiries and needs. Because we actively try cases and routinely appear in the courts, we work, if appropriate, to cut through the delays of litigation, and to position matters for speedy resolution, either by trial or settlement. Our clients often consult us before litigation, and we assist to structure disputes to avoid litigation altogether or to minimize the exposure if litigation is unavoidable. We explore mediation, arbitration, and alternative dispute resolution mechanisms with our clients. While our successes and highly publicized cases have gained us national recognition, our most striking results are often those never reported -- the quiet settlements and quick resolutions that enable our clients to get on with their businesses and lives without the cost and distraction of a lawsuit.
