Karen A. Anderson

Karen A. Anderson is a general practice attorney specializing in business and corporate law, matrimonial and family law, and civil litigation.

Ms. Anderson graduated magna cum laude from Pace University School of Law in 2000. During her final year in law school, she was production editor for the Environmental Law Review. She was also a Dean's Scholar in the Academic Support Program which involved tutoring first year students. She received her B.A. from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa.

From 2001 to 2002, Ms. Anderson served as law clerk to the Honorable Gerard L. Goettel, United States District Judge for the Southern District of New York, sitting by designation in Connecticut.

Ms. Anderson is admitted to practice in the state courts in New York and Connecticut as well as the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut. She is a member of the American and Connecticut Bar Associations, and the Fairfield County Bar Association. She also serves on the board of the Westchester Women's Bar Association, as co-chair of the New Lawyer's Committee.

Before attending law school, Ms. Anderson gained valuable experience in the corporate and financial world in both London and New York, working for blue chip companies such as British Gas plc, The Bank of New York and J.P. Morgan.

Ms. Anderson lives with her husband in Stamford, Connecticut. During her leisure time, she enjoys playing co-ed ice hockey (as well as managing the team) and riding her 800cc motorcycle with her husband and friends.
